The Buy My Car Guy was born from conversations with clients regarding what they considered an ‘unfair’ trade in price. Often people were offered two, three or even four thousand less than what I was able to.

This would lead people to take their trade-in home and try their with a private sale. Having to deal with rude low-ballers, people with no value on their word, or occasionally hostile confrontations. Not to mention multiple people rolling up to your house at once, having to count large amounts of cash or being uneasy about how the new owner wants to transfer the funds.

When I was younger, while working for a large and well known dealership right here in South Australia, I identified a missing market. This was the ‘Buy My Car’ tab missing from many industry leaders websites, even my current employer at the time!

During that time, there has been a number of websites offering a similar service, trying to cash in. Unfortunately they have all lacked the most important ingredient… the personality behind the process.
